DONG-IN ENSIS, a company specializing in industrial equipment and Intelligent Control Panels, is pursuing autonomous control (AX) on the manufacturing floor with "unsupervised-learning, field-focused edge AI". Having built the foundation for collecting field data through digital transformation (DX), the company has made 2026 the year to complete AX, in which AI judges and controls on its own.

Highlights
- Field data infrastructure — High-performance controllers such as the ABB AC500 and Phoenix Contact AXC F 2152 are being evaluated as edge devices; when signs of an incident appear, the edge decides within milliseconds and shuts down immediately.
- Unsupervised learning — Without people labeling failure data one by one, the AI learns normal operating patterns by itself and catches subtle anomalies. It can be applied right away to new sites or special equipment with little data.
- Hybrid structure — Heavy AI training runs in the cloud, and only optimized parameters are sent to the edge controller on site. Even if the network is cut, field equipment continues to judge and control on its own.
"With a general-purpose AI platform that integrates with global vendors, we have transformed from hardware-centered manufacturing into a software-driven AX solution company," a DONG-IN ENSIS official said. "Through the Public Procurement Service's AI evaluation track, we will supply autonomous control solutions optimized for Korean manufacturing sites."
