DONG-IN ENSIS is combining AI with its intelligent control technology to move manufacturing beyond digital transformation (DX) to AI transformation (AX). Aiming at energy-efficiency optimization and zero-downtime operation, the company has started advancing and field-testing an AI predictive maintenance digital twin solution based on high-precision DAQ.

Highlights
- Real savings through closed-loop control — Going beyond monitoring, the optimal operating values found by AI are sent back to the field PLC in real time, with the goal of cutting the power consumption of industrial motor systems by 5% or more.
- High-speed data + unsupervised learning — A high-precision data acquisition (DAQ) unit captures electrical waveforms at kHz resolution, and unsupervised-learning AI analyzes them.
- Zero-downtime through module replacement — By combining the company's patented "modular draw-out VFD panel" with AI predictive maintenance, only the affected module can be replaced when signs of failure appear, without stopping the whole system.
- Business transformation — The company is shifting its business model from control panel manufacturer to supplier of data-driven DX/AX solutions and subscription services (SaaS).
"Manufacturing has entered an era in which value is sold by giving machines intelligence," the CEO of DONG-IN ENSIS said. "With energy-saving data proven in field trials and our AI capabilities, we will lead the DX/AX transformation of manufacturing in smart factory markets at home and abroad."
