The "Chungnam hospital ship", which uses technology from DONG-IN ENSIS, a supplier of eco-friendly hybrid propulsion systems, has entered service. Following the Gyeongnam Cheongjeong-ho commissioned in April, the electric propulsion enabled by DONG-IN ENSIS technology has greatly reduced CO2 emissions compared with conventional diesel vessels. At the commissioning ceremony at Daecheon Port in Boryeong, the company's then-CEO Baek Nam-soon received a commendation for building eco-friendly vessels.

Highlights
- Operation — Considering shallow waters around islands, the vessel uses hybrid electric propulsion, running on the electric motor at low speed and over short distances.
- Scope of supply — The company supplied the propulsion system and integrated control system — the core of the transition to eco-friendly vessels — contributing to the hybrid conversion of Korean vessels.
- Onshore business — The company is also expanding into onshore eco-friendly equipment, including winning control work for a liquid hydrogen station.
